“My York City” Art Show & Sale

Share

The Cultural Alliance, Downtown Inc, and York College‘s Center for Community Engagement are organizing a first-of-its-kind art exhibit. “My York City” Art Show & Sale will open to the public during First Friday on February 5th (5-7 pm) at Marketview Arts, 37 West Philadelphia Street in York.

This unique exhibit features works by area artists showcasing their vision of Downtown York. What ‘My York City’ means and how it is interpreted is left completely to the artist, opening a dialogue between the artists and larger community on what defines our downtown. The public opening will also include live readings of literary readings depicting our York.

All works featured in the show will be for sale, with 50% going to the artist and the remaining 50% benefitting Downtown Inc. and the Cultural Alliance of York County.

The exhibit, which is part of York City’s 275th Anniversary Celebration, will continue through February 27 during selected gallery hours. For more information, including days and times you can visit, click here!
