About Healthy Pursuits

Part nutrition education, part sugar detox, part support group – an empowering combination! The Restart Program from Healthy Pursuits is a simple and powerful way to give your body a vacation from sugar and processed foods. With a 3-week sugar detox built in, the program focuses on how to use real food to boost your energy, reduce inflammation, and get rid of your sugar and carb cravings. Visit their website for more information on their program.

About York Divers

York Divers, York’s only PADI FIVE Star Dive Center, is locally owned and operated. All of their staff began their dive career as students and now enjoy the opportunity to share their knowledge and experiences with you. In 2012, York Divers celebrated 30 years as a Professional Association of Diving Instructors, (PADI,) Dive Center. York Divers has been certifying students since 1975 before becoming a PADI Dive Center. York Divers is a Handicap Scuba Association facility, teaching adaptive scuba. Adaptive Dive Buddies complete their team to provide a safe and fun adventure for everyone.

York Divers staff includes 6 instructors and 22 divemasters to train people how to dive safely. They offer classes for the beginner as well as the experienced diver. Find more information on classes, dive trips and equipment on their website.

About StoryCatchers

StoryCatchers records the life story of your loved ones — their words, their voices. They use high-definition audio recording equipment to capture their memories, leaving their customers with a keepsake that will be cherished for years to come. StoryCatchers conducts the interview with gentleness and respect. This can be a special but emotional time for the person being interviewed, so they work hard to ensure the process is handled with dignity and professionalism. StoryCatchers even comes to you to conduct the interview! Learn more about this unique service on their website.

About YWCA Hanover

The YWCA Hanover is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. Recognizing the fact that domestic violence is a serious issue, the Safe Home Program was developed in 1981 by YWCA Hanover. The foundation of the program is the strong belief that individuals have a right to control their lives and make decisions without fear of assault or degradation.

The Hanover YWCA provides childcare for ages one and older that fits today’s working families. All YWCA Child Care Programs are licensed though the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS). They accept funding through the subsidized Child Care Program managed by Child Care Information Services of York and Adams Counties and the DHS. Their center also participates in the Department of Education’s Child and Adult Care Food Program.

Additionally, the YWCA hosts a full calendar of events to support their programming. More information is available on their website.
