Traditions Bank President and CEO, Gene Draganosky, recognized as a 2020 Power Player in Finance
On December 18, the Central Penn Business Journal edition featured 28 “Power Players” in the Central PA region in finance, healthcare, and real estate.
The honorees were selected by the CPBJ editorial staff based on their organizations’ performance and in consultation with sources in the field who shared their expertise in industry leadership.
Traditions Bank’s performance has been on a sustained positive, upward trajectory. The Bank has maintained full employment, has experienced growth across all business lines, has achieved record profitability, and is poised to strategically grow its presence and impact in Central PA, all while adapting to changing work conditions and ensuring safety for all stakeholders.
Mike Kochenour, Traditions Bank Founder and Chairman of the Board, shared:
“Gene’s personal passion and commitment to our Core Values were instrumental in his advancement in 2017 to lead the organization as its President and CEO. In his role, he has been a true champion for these values, and he has set the tone to distinguish Traditions Bank as the local bank of choice for our clients and the employer of choice for our Associates.”
Gene is extremely proud of each of our Associates and leads by example, focusing on relationships to deliver our culture of exquisite service. Our Associates have consistently provided an experience that transcends face-to-face interaction even through the difficulty of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our branch Associates helped customers adjust to new technologies and provided individualized support to meet their needs. Our business team supported local businesses and helped to save jobs by delivering the Paycheck Protection Program. Our residential mortgage team continued to be a leader in making homeownership dreams a reality and assisted with refinancing to help households save needed funds. And all of our support teams kept up with unprecedented volume while adapting to changing work conditions to ensure safety.
In the face of uncertainty, Gene has remained steadfast in honoring our commitments to the community. He has invested himself as a steward leader and has become a “Go-To” Business Advisor. He has put his full support behind creative ways to help those organizations helping others through this challenging year.
One example of this commitment was Draganosky’s suggestion of transforming our annual customer appreciation event into a way to give back to nonprofits in the communities we serve.
When asked what “As a leader in your organization and industry, what do you feel is your biggest responsibility to the community?” Draganosky said:
“Staying true to our traditions: investment in community, close relationships, real solutions, and exquisite service. These are the traditions we’re built on. For us, there’s really no other way to do banking and these traditions will remain fundamental to our identity no matter how much we grow or how the world around us changes.”
These are characteristics that Draganosky lives and breathes every day. They certainly validate his place as a CPBJ Top 10 Power Player in the Pennsylvania financial arena. Please join us in congratulating Gene on this well-deserved recognition.
