Employee Spotlight: Get to know Zachary Hillis Zachary Hillis, Community Banking Manager

1. What is your ACNB story? 

I started with ACNB Bank back in December 2019 as a floating community banking specialist, assisting behind the line and also filling in on the desk side within our Carroll County, MD offices. In September 2020, I transitioned over to our 2 North on the Square office as a community banking specialist and worked there until September 2023. I absolutely loved my time as a floating Specialist in Carroll County, and also had a blast working in Frederick. Two very special places. 

2. What do you love about working here? 

I greatly enjoy our ACNB bank office staff, business partners in other departments and our colleagues in the back office and Operations Center. Our clients with ACNB Bank are extremely special, and I look forward to helping provide solutions and aide in them fulfilling their financial goals. 

3. What activities do you enjoy doing outside of the office? 

I enjoy spending weekends with family, friends. Love to play/watch any sports especially golf, basketball and softball. Value meeting new community members and business owners at local Chamber events. 

4. Why should people bank at a community bank? 

I have only known the community banking style and structure, our ability to provide our internal extensions to clients and have daily/weekly touchpoints by phone or in the office make coming to work every day extremely rewarding. We care deeply about our clients and team members, no one is a number within our organization. We consistently have dogs come in and see us at our offices, provide great treats and ensure all are welcome. 

5. What are some of your favorite local activities or restaurants? 

When I was in Frederick, I loved visiting Firestone’s Culinary Tavern and Jojo’s Restaurant & Tap House. Since getting back into Carroll County in September of this past year, I also enjoy visiting Bess & Ben’s Country Kitchen and Stone House Cakery & Café.
