Employee Spotlight: Get to know Tina Smith Tina Smith, Community Banking Specialist

January 2, 2023

1. What is your ACNB Bank story?

I’ve been with ACNB Bank for 33 years. I started as a teller at the York Springs Office for 12 years. Then I worked in the Consumer Lending Department for 3 years. I came back out to the teller line as the Teller Supervisor when ACNB Bank opened the New Oxford office in 2005. In 2008, I was the Community Banking Specialist for the York Springs office. In 2021, after we closed the York Springs office I was a Floating Specialist. Then in December 2021, I became the Specialist at the Littlestown office.

2. What do you love about working here?

Helping our customers with whatever they have going on. Being in one office for a long time I have created many friendships. It has proven itself when we closed the York Springs branch & I was transferred to Littlestown.  Many customers have come to Littlestown or they call me. The Littlestown staff is awesome, we’re like family.

3. What activities do you enjoy doing outside of the office?

I enjoy gardening & working around my house. I love watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, and I also participate in the Heartwalk & the Halloween parades.

4. Why should people bank at a community bank?

“The personal touch we give to our customers is #1. Anytime you make a customer feel important, it makes them feel like we do care.  We wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for the customers.”

5. What are some of your favorite local activities or restaurants?

I enjoy going to the beach. I have a 1-year old grandson who lives in Hamburg New York, so I go to see him as often as I can. I like to spend time with my family that lives here in Pennsylvania. I also work part time at Lowes in Hanover, which is great because I get to see a lot of people I know either personally or through the Bank.
