Employee Spotlight: Get to know Danielle Barto Danielle Barto, Community Banking Manager II!

April 19, 2023

1. What is your ACNB Bank story?

I have been in banking for a total of 24 years. I started with ACNB Bank in October 2018 as the Supervisor at the Newville Office. I quickly fell in love with ACNB Bank and the employees.  Shortly thereafter, a management position became available at the Carroll Valley and Franklin Township locations and I transferred to those locations in January 2019. During the summer of 2020, I had the amazing opportunity to add the Norland Avenue location to the offices that I manage. I now have a fantastic team within the three branches that work together as well as independently within each branch.

2. What do you love about working here?

The support of others across the bank in every department is unmatched. I genuinely view working at ACNB Bank as being part of another family and I am honored to be a part of that. There are so many opportunities for employees to grow as well as opportunities to assist with mentoring, coaching and developing others. Seeing others succeed for their own growth and development as well as seeing the bank grow and thrive is extremely rewarding.

3. What activities do you enjoy doing outside of the office?

I am a member of the Chambersburg Exchange Club and love to be involved with other community organizations when opportunities arise to volunteer. I have been involved with Scoop-a-Palooza in Chambersburg for the past 3 years as well as participating with Mock Interviews at James Buchanan High School in Mercersburg (where I attended high school!).

I enjoy family time outside of work, specifically spending time with my 9-year-old daughter who I am so very proud of and cherish. I love to cook and enjoy impromptu day trips outdoors.

4. Why should people bank at a community bank?

People should bank at community banks due to the genuine desire to offer personalized and dedicated service to customers and our communities while internally operating as a work family.
