Community Pride - 2022 in Review Supporting local community organizations and programs

January 24, 2022

ACNB Bank is committed to the communities in which we live, work and play. Below is a wrap-up of our community pride for the year 2022.

(photo above) In 2022, our team enjoyed volunteering at many Bank-sponsored community events held throughout our footprint. As just one example, 11 staff members volunteered their time at the First Annual Food Truck Festival held at TrueNorth Wellness Services’ Amazing Kids Club in Hanover, PA. The Amazing Kids Club is a year-round, onsite therapeutic program for children and adolescents from 2 to 21 years of age with Autism Spectrum Disorder or Social Pragmatic Communication Disorder. Our volunteers worked in the Kids Zone that was sponsored by ACNB Bank. Four of the Bank’s volunteers included from left to right: Residential Mortgage Loan Originator Mary-Jo Herr, VP/BSA & OFAC Officer Thomas Slover, Deposit Services Lead Specialist Stacey Schuchart and North Hanover Community Banking Associate Emily Thomas.

At the Heart of Community Life...

For 165 years, ACNB Bank has remained at the heart of community life in our business footprint, supporting those community organizations and programs that make the markets we serve desirable places to live and work. In 2020, we launched ACNB Helping Hands to reinforce the Bank’s ongoing commitment to community and demonstrate how much we care in a tangible way.

Throughout ACNB Bank's milestone 165th anniversary year of 2022, staff members embraced a variety of Helping Hands and other initiatives that are highlighted in this issue of Community Pride. Many of these activities also benefitted ACNB Bank’s Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Program.

ACNB Bank Celebrates National Volunteer Week

As a community bank, we believe in giving back and volunteering in our shared communities. Our team takes great pride in serving as dedicated volunteers and leaders with many charitable, civic, educational and professional/business organizations in our market areas. For this reason, we were proud to highlight this volunteer spirit on the Bank’s three websites during National Volunteer Week, held annually in April.
