Ross Hockenberry got his start in the mortgage industry after looking into a preapproval and meeting his now coworker, Brenda Hahn, who asked him to interview with her. Ross joined Traditions Bank as a Mortgage Partner in 2021 and has quickly become an invaluable asset to the Hanover team. He was previously the Director of Sales for Honey Run Golf Club and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the California University of PA.
Ross’s favorite core value at Traditions Bank is true teamwork, recognizing the importance of collaboration and working towards a common goal. He believes that a team that strives to be great motivates individuals to be the best versions of themselves and reach their goals. Ross’s expertise lies in Conventional, FHA, Conventional PHFA, FHA PHFA, and VA programs. He’s most knowledgeable with PHFA programs, perfect for first-time homebuyers or seasoned homebuyers who need assistance with closing costs and down payment. Ross is passionate about the flexibility of the mortgage industry, enabling him to work remotely and be available seven days a week when necessary to help his borrowers.
In his personal life, Ross is the youngest of three sons, and he’s a loyal Pittsburgh sports fan, with an exception for the Philadelphia Phillies. Golf is his main hobby, and he’s a member of the Hanover Country Club, where he’s been a previous club champion. Ross is actively involved with the YWCA golf committee, supporting the organization’s efforts to help families in the local community. His passion for golf and two decades of experience make him a perfect fit for the committee. Ross Hockenberry also actively participates with the Builders Association of Adams County.
When he needs a getaway, he loves going to Myrtle Beach or anywhere else along the southern east coast, and Alaska is his favorite place he’s ever traveled. He enjoys listening to various music genres, including 70s R&B, hip-hop, jazz, country, and funk.
