On Monday, December 8th, Heather Warner of Fox43 News at 4 talked with JJ Sheffer during “Her Perspective — Women Making an Impact on Central PA.” It seems that JJ has unlimited energy and ideas! Combined with an unwavering allegiance to her hometown, JJ makes a huge impact in the community.

The interview brings to mind this quote by George Bernard Shaw — “You see things; and you say ‘Why?’ But I dream things that never were; and I say ‘Why not?’” With her passion and “Why not? Let’s do this!” attitude, JJ has been a driving force behind the revival of York City.

In 2012, JJ helped to form CoWork155, bringing the trend of shared workspace to York and nurturing a culture of collaboration and cooperation for entrepreneurs, telecommuters, freelancers, salespeople, and employees of innovative firms focused on growing their business. Earlier this year, JJ was instrumental in launching Kable House Presents, an independent concert series hosted at York’s historic Central Market House and featuring up-and-coming national touring acts in intimate evening performances. She also owns the event planning company New Muse Entertainment, does freelance writing, and is Alumni Coordinator for Leadership York, balancing it all with what she considers her most important job – being a mom.

Traditions Bank is happy to be able to shine the spotlight on JJ Sheffer, and many other women who make our community a better place to live and work. Take a moment to watch the interview.
