Her Traditions is committed to supporting and celebrating women. To start the New Year with positive energy, we are driving awareness to some programs and organizations that lift women in our community. Take a moment to read about why we’ve highlighted them, and then vote for one to receive a donation from Traditions Bank.
Since this is all about positive energy, this is a tiered approach*, with everyone receiving something. We hope you’ll all get into the spirit and share with friends and family to vote for your favorite because, in doing so, you are spreading awareness for all!

- BLOOM Business Empowerment Center: The vision of BLOOM is to offer enhanced technical support, attainable capital, and access to opportunity, which instills York with a thriving culture of entrepreneurship defined by our rate of business births, women-owned businesses, and minority business enterprises. Services include opportunities for grants, loans, business classes, fellowships, and mentorships. Since its launch, 170 BLOOM Grants totaling $387,978 have been distributed to small businesses/organizations in York County, Downtown York, York County Trail Towns communities, to women-owned businesses, start-up entrepreneurs, and graduates of the BLOOM Small Business Development courses, with 53% of grants going to businesses owned by persons of color and 70% going to women-owned businesses.
- Community Action Partnership of Lancaster County (CAP): The Community Action Partnership is Lancaster County’s largest anti-poverty organization and boasts a service profile that interrupts inter-generational poverty with programs that assist families at every age and place in life. Their impact is achieved through a broad and diverse variety of programs, including domestic violence services, physical and mental health programs for youth, and early education, to name a few.
- Her Traditions Scholarship Program: Women leaning into leadership is a message we are proud to support through our Her Traditions Scholarship Program. Our goal is to celebrate and encourage women across all industries and life stages to dream big. Scholarships are awarded to women in York, Lancaster, and the Capital Region through a traditional college scholarship and our women in the trades scholarship. We have plans to launch our nontraditional student scholarship in 2023.
